In my current photography project, I am exploring the complex nuances and contemporary symbols of motherhood and resilience within a rich and often overlooked cultural context on the island of Martinique. Through a series of portraits and visual compositions taken between the months of March to May 2025, this project seeks to capture the essence of strength and dignity of women who take on roles imposed by history and social circumstances. By blending intimacy and history, this work aims to create a space for reflection and healing, while paying tribute to those who, despite challenges, continue to build the future. This project is an invitation to redefine and celebrate the narratives of these central, yet often invisible, figures in our society. More to come soon.
